The indoor, convenient layout of the resort makes it easy for guests to transition to après-ski from ski in and out luxury stays like The Vale Rusutsu. With a variety of restaurants to choose from, in-resort shopping, a two-story carousel, and an arcade, Rusutsu Resort is prefect for guests of all ages. While there is plenty to stay occupied within the resort itself, Rusutsu town is a short drive away and offers further exploration for those looking to get out and about.
Summer in Rusutsu is even more fun as the resort features an amusement park and waterpark. With other activities like rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding and hiking, Rusutsu Resort is a perfect destination for families on holiday! For adult travelers, the resort also features several popular golf courses, park golf, and tennis.
A popular weekend getaway for Sapporo residents, Rusutsu Resort is easy to get to. The nearest international airport is New Chitose International Airport in Sapporo. From Sapporo or Chitose, travelers can drive, take a private car, or a reservations-only public bus to Rusutsu resort.
By car, the trip from Sapporo takes about 1.5 hours. In winter, the trip may take up to 3 hours. Please note that Rusutsu is not accessible by train.

Public Bus
Several reliable bus services run between New Chitose International Airport and Rusutsu Resort. Buses are generally scheduled around major international or connecting flights, and there are multiple runs daily. All Rusutsu-bound buses deliver guests to the entrance of Rusutsu Resort where a NISADE representative will be waiting to take you to The Vale Rusutsu.
Please note that all buses are reservation-only, and that bus timetables are usually issued in late September. Limited bus services are available in summer.
Rusutsu Resort is conveniently organized right at the base of the ski slopes, and the majority of the resort is connected, so guests can easily enjoy the best of the resort without braving the cold. For guests who will travel to neighboring towns or to restaurants outside of the resort, we recommend taking a taxi.
