Furano's ski resort is split into two zones: The Furano Zone and the Kitanomine Zone. The latter is closer to Furano city, which offers more of an authentic Japanese ski town experience compared to other ski areas and has great luxury accommodation options like Fenix Furano and Fenix West.
Finding a good place to eat and drink (with amazing coffee), too, has now become a lot easier near Kitanomine Gondola.
Whether you're staying or skiing for the day you'll definitely want to try out Fenix Restaurant & Bar for a refreshing and nourishing meal. Located on the ground floor of Fenix Furano, just across the road from the base of the Kitanomine Gondola, this restaurant offers an excellent selection of Japanese food. They specialise in tempura and shabu-shabu cuisine and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days per week.
Just up the street is one of Furano's best coffee options - see below for details.
Breakfast at Fenix Restaurant & Bar uses a set menu, with a different meal each day of the week. You can stop by here before heading out to the slopes every day of the week and have eat something different each time. Our team member Maxime highly recommends trying:
The lunch and dinner menu's offer a great variety of choices that are sure to satisfy anyone. At lunch you can try traditional Japanese rice bowls, like their buta-don and gyu-don, different soup base ramen options and plenty more. Dinner also has a great variety including various hotpot's, assorted shabu-shabu and sashimi. You can enjoy any of your meals here with a nice glass of wine, spirits or beer from their in-house bar.

Newly opened this year with fantastic views of the mountain ranges from the windows Ronin is open every morning during the winter from 8am to 11am (last order is 10:30).
