JAL announces luxury upgrades from London to Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan

Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it is set to expand its London to Tokyo route with the addition of First Class and Premium options plus additional flights.

From October 29th, 2023 the airlines' 787-8 aircraft will be replaced by a four-cabin Boeing 777-300ER, adding First and Premium Economy class capacity to the popular route.

The airline currently operates two daily flights connecting London's Heathrow to Haneda in Tokyo with the move meaning a 25% capacity in the airlines' business class offering.

JAL, Japan's second largest carrier, is well known for it's high level service for economy class offerings. The addition of First Class and Premium Economy Classes is fantastic for those looking for a more enjoyable travel experience - with guaranteed ample legroom and access to the airlines' complimentary lounge just some of the additional benefits the classes offer.

The number of Economy Class seats will remain largely unaltered by the latest announcement - so the changes don't come at the expense of entry-level price options.
